mee goreng two days in a row based upon the choices that I happened to have in front of me. This first one was from
Killiney Kopitiam at Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal just after we got back from
Batam. It looks pretty good in the photo, but I didn't finish it. Strangely, there were frozen peas and carrots in there; is it a
Hainanese rendition?
This second one, on the other hand, was much better. OK, it featured instant Maggi noodles instead, but still, this was delicious enough to inhale in seconds, and was from a stall called Rezki Allah Indian Muslim Food at the new Skyville @ Dawson (85 Dawson Road). Another surprising find at this new HDB estate was a
fishball noodle shop next to it, featuring noodles that are good enough that we'll be happy to come back for, even if it means waiting in line again.
